Diabetes and blood sugar tests
Blood sugar, HbA1c and insulin tests at our Sayan laboratory.
Available at our Sayan clinic only.
These tests show how your body handles sugar. Your doctor may ask for them to check for diabetes, or to follow it over time.
Before you come
- FBS (fasting blood sugar) and fasting insulin need you to come on an empty stomach. Do not eat for 10 to 12 hours before the test.
- PP2BS is taken two hours after a meal, so plan your meal time.
- HbA1c and RBS do not need fasting.
Keep taking your usual medicines unless your doctor has told you otherwise, and tell the lab what you take.
Take your report to your doctor, who will read it together with your history.

The laboratory at our Sayan clinic is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, and on Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Call the lab to ask about a test, fasting or home sample collection. Reports are ready the same day.
